An investigation found that several women had been involved in an altercation at the residence prior to the shooting, police said.

No arrests have been made yet and the investigation is ongoing, according to police.

The Fort Worth Police Department’s Homicide Unit is handling that investigation, and the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the victim once next-of-kin have been notified.

Police are also investigating a shooting and attempted robbery that occurred at the Carol Oaks Apartments, in the 7400 block of Ederville Road, early Sunday morning, the department said.

Officers were dispatched about 3 a.m. to Medical City North Hills after a victim arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound, police said.

Two suspects were apprehended after a vehicle chase near West Freeway and University Drive, officials said.

The victim’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, and the Fort Worth Police Department’s Robbery Unit is investigating, police said.

Officers responded to a third shooting shortly after 9 a.m. in the 1000 block of East 9th Street, east of downtown.

Police said in a news release that “two transient individuals” got in an argument over personal property. During the argument, one person fired a gun and the shot grazed a man on the arm, police said.

The man who was shot was taken to a hospital. The suspect remains at large, and the Gun Violence Unit is investigating.
