I-77 reopens after vehicle fire, NCDOT says

Interstate 77 has reopened after a vehicle fire caused the roadway to be shut down Saturday morning.

According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, the accident occurred just after 10 a.m. on I-77 near Westinghouse Boulevard.

However, no injuries have been reported.

NCDOT reported the roadway would be shut down for several hours.

It reopened shortly before 1:45 p.m.
