Garth Brooks Accused of Sexual Assault in Shocking Lawsuit

Garth Brooks is being sued by a woman accusing him of multiple instances of sexual assault and battery that allegedly happened in 2019, according to a lawsuit filed in a state court in California.

According to the lawsuit obtained by CNN, the unidentified woman referred to as “Jane Roe” claims she started as a hairstylist and makeup artist for Brooks’ wife, Trisha Yearwood in 1999. Brooks hired her for the same role in 2017, according to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit alleges Brooks violently raped her in a Los Angles hotel room in May 2019 where he was taping a tribute performance for the Grammys.

According to the lawsuit, the woman says she boarded Brooks’ private plane and noticed they were the only two passengers, which was unusual. Brooks allegedly only booked one hotel room in LA and declined her request for her own room. He allegedly “appeared in the doorway to the bedroom, completely naked.” The complaint states she felt “trapped in the room alone with Brooks” who then raped her.

After the alleged assault, the woman continued to do Brooks’ hair and makeup but she says he began to grope her more frequently. The suit states Brooks made “repeated remarks” about “having a threesome” with his wife.

In another alleged 2019 incident, Roe says she was at Brooks’ home for work when he got out of the shower naked and “grabbed her hands and forced them” onto his genitals while speaking to her with sexually explicit and vulgar language.

CNN reports that Brooks has denied the woman’s previous accusations of sexual assault and had tried to block her from publicly repeating her allegations in a previous complaint the singer filed against her as “John Doe.”
