The former champion made a surprise return to the ring following a recent episode of SmackDown. After Carlito intervened in a dark match for the World Tag Team Championship between the LWO and The Judgment Day, Strowman emerged to even the odds.

This set up an impromptu six-man tag team match, with Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and Strowman facing Carlito, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh. Strowman helped secure the win for his team, standing tall over the heels and sending the crowd home on a high note.

Strowman’s last match took place on the September 30th edition of Monday Night Raw, where he, with help from Seth Rollins, defeated Bronson Reed in a Last Monster Standing match. Despite the victory, Strowman revealed afterward that he had torn his groin just two minutes into the 19-minute contest.

The wrestler would later post a message to Instagram explaining the injury.

Even Monsters Bleed!!!!!

“#StillStanding,” the post read. “After waiting a few days to see how this was gonna end up. This is where we’re at!! Tore my Groin 2 minutes into the Last Monster Standing Match last week on #Raw and pained my way through that son of a b****. To yet again reminded the world I am The #MonsterOfAllMonsters #BuiltDifferent #BraunStrowman #Wwe”

Strowman made his WWE debut in 2015 as part of the Wyatt Family, but his true breakout came after he became a singles competitor. Strowman won the WWE Universal Championship in 2020 and captured the Money in the Bank briefcase in 2018.

He also triumphed in the Greatest Royal Rumble in 2018, setting a record by eliminating 13 competitors. Strowman’s signature moves, like the Running Powerslam, and his ability to overpower opponents in dramatic fashion made him one of WWE’s most fearsome wrestlers.

Braun Strowman recently opened up about how WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry helped launch his wrestling career. The 41-year-old revealed that in 2013, Henry saw potential in him and, recognizing that Strowman was uncertain about his future in strongman competitions, arranged a tryout with WWE to give him a new opportunity.
