The winter storm blowing across Virginia is causing some delays and cancellations in Hampton Roads.

Christopher Newport University

CNU will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

Norfolk

All city schools will be closed.

Norfolk State University

The university will open at 11 a.m.

Chesapeake

City offices, libraries, community centers and courts will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday. City employees with questions should check with their supervisors to determine their schedule expectations for the day.

All city schools will operate on a two-hour delay.

Portsmouth

All city schools will operate on a two-hour delay.

Franklin

Franklin City Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay Tuesday.

Gloucester County

Public schools will be closed Tuesday. All games and student activities are canceled. Essential personnel may be required to report to work by their immediate supervisors. To make up for the lost instructional time, Wednesday, Jan. 17, will now be a full student day.

Mathews County

Public schools will be closed Tuesday.

Hampton

All city schools will be closed.

City offices and facilities, including libraries and community centers, will open at 11 a.m.

Naval Medical Center Portsmouth

The medical center and its branch and TRICARE Prime clinics will be operating under a two-hour delay. If you have an appointment scheduled before 9:30 a.m., or are unable to make your appointments please call the clinic to reschedule .

Public schools and offices will be closed for students and most employees.

Old Dominion University

All university locations will open at noon. Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences EVMS Medical Group at ODU clinical operations (patient appointments) are delayed until 10 a.m.

City offices will operate on a 1-hour delay. City Hall will open at 9:30 a.m.

Suffolk

City offices will have a delayed opening of 10 a.m.

Schools will operate on a two-hour delay.

The North Suffolk Library, Morgan Memorial Library, East Suffolk Recreation Center, Curtis Milteer Recreation Center, Bennett’s Creek Recreation Center, and Suffolk Art Gallery will open at 10 a.m.

Virginia Peninsula Community College will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
