Texas football did not even have to play this week to re-take the lead in the AP Top 25 poll. After Vanderbilt shockingly upset Alabama 40-35, the Longhorns are once again No. 1 in the poll. Following the loss, Alabama dropped to No. 7.

Alabama originally claimed the lead in the poll last week after an incredible 41-34 victory over Georgia. One week later, and Alabama ranks lower than Georgia in the poll because of their loss to Vanderbilt, their first loss of the season.
